Y Combinator, Niantic, Escher Reality
I am working with startups as a group partner at Y Combinator while tinkering with projects. I believe in pursuing curiosity and infinite playfulness throughout life and that technology, in particular Artificial Intelligence, is radically transforming society over the next decade. The possibilities to empower humanity are unlike anything we've seen, so I've spent the last decade working in the fields of spatial computing, computer vision, and machine learning. Previously, I was the Co-founder and CTO of Escher Reality, an AR startup acquired by Niantic (makers of Pokémon Go). At Niantic, I was the head of the AR platform, where I scaled Niantic's AR team by 5x in 2 years. Prior to that, I built and led the data science team for OnCue, a cloud television platform spin-off from Intel that was sold to Verizon Labs. I studied engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on machine learning and computer vision. I've dabbled in a variety of side projects over the years, from experimenting with Molecular Gastronomy to circus arts to building a 3D Holochat system. A fun fact: I was born in 🇨🇱 bakán
